This week I received one of those spammy emails offering me accounts and tax services. As if the lack of research wasn’t bad enough the so-called accountant was nearly struck off last year for failing to file their own accounts on time.
I was in a rather mischievous mood so I emailed back offering to get their September 2023 accounts done on time so that they wouldn’t get struck off this year 😉
Perhaps I shouldn’t have but I’m a great believer in modelling what we’re selling.
Speaking to accountants and bookkeepers at Accountex this week on how they can offer business advice services my main suggestion was that they should apply all their advice to their own business first before trying to improve their clients’ businesses.
