With over two and a half decades’ experience as a Chartered Accountant, Della Hudson knows her numbers. But she also knows, from experience, that there are plenty other things that go into making a success of a small business. And she’s made it her business to share everything she’s learned.
Following the birth of her children, in 2009 Della set up Hudson Business Accountants and Advisers, working at first from her kitchen table. Little did she know then how far her hard work, dedication and tried and tested systems would take her.
In 2017, having grown her accountancy practice to a profitable level, Della sold that business so she could concentrate on helping other qualified accountants to achieve the same levels of success.
Fast-forward to today and she is a best-selling author, renowned speaker and in-demand business coach helping qualified accountants and small business owners set up and grow their businesses to profitability and achieve their personal work/life goals at the same time.
Author of not just one, but two, business books, Della is an Amazon best seller. She also won the Specialist category at the 2019 Business Book Awards with her first book The Numbers Business: how to build a successful cloud accountancy practice.
Keen to help more people set up and run their accounting practices and small businesses, Della expanded her offering to appeal to a new audience – one who wants to invest more in their small business growth with the benefit of personal support from someone who has been in their shoes.
Della Hudson FCA now offers a range online courses and coaching helping accountants and small business owners get to grips with their numbers and drive growth through systemising their accounting habits, marketing and internal processes. Teaching them how to build a business so they can step back and allow it to continue functioning independently or sell up and pocket the profits.
Thanks to her hard work, dedicated study and obvious passion for adding value to others, Della won a number of awards in 2019, including being placed 23rd in the Accountancy Age Top 50 Women in Finance and the Practice Ignition Top 50 Women in Accountancy.
She was also voted Most Inspirational Member of the Accounting and Bookkeeping Support Group and was shortlisted in the British Accounting Marketing Awards, as well as being consistently ranked in the top 10 of the Avalara Accounting Top 100.
