When I sold my first practice and was approached by fellow accountants and bookkeepers to mentor them on their own journey it was because I had proven practical experience. It’s a common criticism that those telling accountants how to run a better business have never run such a business themselves and I want to avoid falling into a similar trap.
Just 3 years after selling Hudson Business Accountants and Advisers the industry is changing. Having led an early cloud based accountancy practice with flexible working throughout (I only worked 25 hours per week myself) these are now the norm thanks to MTD and even Covid 19. So it’s time for me to get back in the game, to stay relevant, and to have a play with the latest tech while helping a few business owners along the way.
I’m pleased to announce that Minerva Accountants will be entirely cloud based and will serve a limited number of small businesses with our focus on client service and technological efficiency. No gimics, nothing extraordinary, but concentrating on getting these two basics right.
Minerva Accountants will run alongside the existing online courses for accountants who are starting up or scaling up, as well as the invaluable individual mentoring.
