Social media seems to be full of people making New Year’s Resolutions or declaring what a waste of time they are.
As is often the case, I take the middle ground.
I love a fresh new year, like the first page in a notebook, waiting to be written on. It really is useful to have a goal (a resolution if you like) and maybe some simple plans to get there but it really isn’t the end of the world if Dry January ends after a fortnight as, in theory at least, you could start again and do Dry February. Every little bit helps.
It’s good to think about what is important to you although frankly, if it was that important, you’d have started it in December. So make new resolutions and fresh starts whenever it suits YOU. And accept that you will slip. Just pick yourself up and get back on the path next week/month/year. Just keep moving forwards.
Business may be a serious matter but it should also be fun.
